i have made a log in for an acquaintance's site, but for some reason it isnt completely centered in IE7 on XP.
if anyone can verify with checking out the link below, and anyone that can provide a screencap or something aswell so i can compare on my end. It looks the way it should in Firefox (latest) on XP, nor does it off-center on Firefox (latest) on OSX 10.4.10 nor 10.5.2, or Safari on OSX URL: Anexometa Screenshots to compare: IE7: http://www.anexometa.com/unotrios/ie7.JPG FireFox: http://www.anexometa.com/unotrios/ff.JPG thanks! |

IE 7... horseshitinacan.
If it looks good in every other browser, it's because IE still interprets CSS according to Microsoft rules, not W3c.

Line 52 -- you are centering to 504 px instead of the parent table width of 755 px.
line 48 should be changed as well. FYI --> You can have a much smaller file and less typing if you use CSS for alignment instead of tables. (You also have a lot of extra not required commands that are inherited.)

thanks alot for the input, yeah i agree IE (any version) is just buggy and goofy, unfortunately a majority of those im doing site work for still seem to use it
and also im fairly new to CSS coding and styling, but doesnt seem like a hard thing to pick up on.since this was a combination of Dreamweaver and hand coding. ill take alook at it and see how i can re-code it with CSS. any good recommendations on how to get started with CSS in any case? thanks again! |

Late to the party but.... I get the same off-center in Win2000 with IE 6.0 but it looks fine with Firefox.
