addon domain -- catch all not forwarding
I can't figure out how to get e-mail from *
davidosomething.comIt's set up as an addon domain to hokuten.net, and FTP and HTTP work fine. Nameservers pointed correctly. The MX records for the domain still point to the domain registrar (netfirms), do I have to change that or does it not matter now that the nameservers are changed? In hokuten.net's CPanel the Default Address (catch-all) is set to forward to awsoma gmail.com, but I get nothing (it's not going to Spam either)The MX records in hokuten.net's CPanel for davidosomething.com are set to hokuten.net and accept all locally Trace Mail Route for a davidosomething.com shows that it's going to my e-mail address |

All the tests I did show that the mail is getting to pilot.surpasshosting.com.
There is no real way for anyone except support to tell what happens after that. They need to go through the mail logs. On a side note, don't forward a catch-all email to another server. You are risking getting your server blacklisted because of it. The 3rd party(gmail) sees that email came from pilot.surpasshosting.com and then thinks that it is sending out spam, it doesnt know that it was just forwarded. This is a big annoyance of sys admins and abuse techs at most companies
