This promotion is for either new clients, or existing clients that happen to have a need for a new plan.

If you don't fit into either of these, it's wrong to say the least to try and get around the system. We had these same exact questions the last time we did this promotion.

Imagine buying a new car. Then a few months later you hear that the dealership is now offering free oil changes and tune ups forever for the new car owners. However, you still have to pay for your maintenance. Are you going to be able to get out of your contract, give back the car, and get another car so that you can take advantage of the new deal? Now comparing buying a vehicle to a hosting plan is a little far, but I hope you get the idea at least.

We understand that many do not really have a need for another hosting plan at this time, but would like to have one. Who doesn't love something for free? But there is just about the same amount of existing clients that fortunately have a perfect idea in mind to take advantage of this.

Please do not think that we are not doing enough for existing clients. We do hear your concerns and we are definitely listening. For our existing clients we have added new features, bumped up bandwidth and space, made some much larger plans, we're adding PHP5, and still thinking of more to do. I wish we could just give everyone a free plan, but we can't do something like that. It surely would get rid of a lot of headaches during promotion time if we did.

With a deal like this- it is hard to please absolutely everyone but there have to be rules. Like a kid in a candy store, we're all a little oogly eyed when we see the word free next to a hosting plan.

i read throught most of this thread and need to know if this is acceptable or not.

i have an OC10 package already which expires in about 5 months i believe. let's say it's domain name is 1.com, now can i sign up for this promotion with the domain name of 1.com and the free one as 2.com. and still keep 1.com on the OC10 plan until it runs out and then transfer all the accounts to a promotional package? this way i am still finishing up my 1 year billing period. or would this not work because once i sign up for the promotion, 2 accounts will have that same domain? or is this totally wrong as well?

Lets say I purchase an Aeon plan for this promotion, but a year later I decide that I do not need the Aeon Plan anymore and want to downgrade to power, what would happen to the free plan?

Sorry just wanted to make sure all questions were covered?

- Can I use the domain for my current reseller plan for the new paid account as well?
I need some answers too, please.

I'm asking that because I was going to upgrade my oooold bronze plan, but maybe it's more interesting gettting a new account all together. But I'd like to keep using my main domain for the paid account if possible, so I was wondering if I can use it for the new account as well, just getting new DNSs ns3 and ns4.

- Can we use one domain for both the paid and the free account or does it have to be one domain for each?

For accounting reasons it has to be one for each, however the second one doesn't have to be even registered ie if you own fakedomain.com, you can use fakedomain2.com as your second account main domain. It is strictly for accounting and tracking reasons.

Yes

- Can I use the domain for my current reseller plan for the new paid account as well?

No, you can not upgrade or sign up for accounts on exsisting accounts.
We continue to stress the fact this is fore NEW accounts only. We ask no one
tries to cheat the system.

Hmm okay that sucks but anyways so it's more cost effective to keep upgradeing the payed plan.

Just to verify, does that mean if I wish to have a new plan, in this case upgrading from the power to the deluxe or pro plan, I would need to cancel my Power and reorder?

Or could I simply do it through the support system and still get a free plan?

I'd still be paying more doing it that way, as I would be upgrading.

It's for new accounts only, but you can not order another account and the delete the other one you first brought.
