I read somewhere on this forum that changing domain name would not be free after 30 days.
1. So for example, I sign up at surpass today and use my current domain but want to change it later, how much would that cost me? 2. Emmanuel posted this one: "For accounting reasons it has to be one for each, however the second one doesn't have to be even registered ie if you own fakedomain.com, you can use fakedomain2.com as your second account main domain. It is strictly for accounting and tracking reasons." So I don't have to have a domain registered for the 2nd account when I sign up but what if I wanted to use that 2nd account and have the domain name changed? since let's say I use fakedomain2.com which doesn't exist, I wanted to have it changed to realdomain.com but it's more than 30 days already, is there a fee or is it free? |

I believe domain name changing is $15, but Rai always knows the answer to this one best it seems.
You would still have to pay the $15 because it's still the same process. The domain may not exist, but they still have to change the domain assigned to the account on the server. |

From the additional services form on the support page:
"Domain Change Request For customers which have placed an order for a hosting account within the last 30 days, Surpass Hosting will change the domain name used on the account at no additional charge. Simply visit http://desk.surpasshosting.com/ and submit a request to the Sales Division for this change. To change the domain name on a hosting account 30 days after the initial setup, a $10 fee is required for the reconfiguration of the hosting account to use the new domain name." |

Tks for answering my questions, Emmanuel.
![]() I'm not trying to cheat the system. I just wanted to use the same domain for a new account. I'd be keeping the old one. ![]() Is that possible in this case?

Let's say I buy 1 and get 1 free... and I currently have a plan (actually two plans), if I eventually cancel one of the accounts I currently have and later on I change or add the domain to one of the promo accounts, would that be considered cheating? I don't want to do anything that might look shady (one of the domains I have now and that I'd be using for the free account is going to expire in about 3 months and I'm not planning on renewing it, that's why)
