All new accounts are placed on new servers... so if you order an account, it won't be placed on the same server you're currently on. In many ways this is beneficial because if one server goes down, you will still have sites up on your other server, and vice versa (no one is expecting a server to go down, but it does happen sometimes). Being placed on a new server means you will need to change the name server, but support can transfer all the data for you, so there should be minimal downtime if that's what you're worried about. But if you want a specific site on a new account, that site will be on a new server.

For your other point, there is no reason why you have to use this promotion. If you just need and want one more account, just buy that account. This promotion is for people who want to take advantage of it. As it's been stated before, you will not have the account space merged together. They will remain seperate accounts. If you think you might want to use 3 accounts, then get the free account... if you don't think you will want to use it, then you don't need to use the coupon code.

Forgive me if I've missed the answer to this already. But when it says free for the life of the original account. Does that mean free for 1 year or free until we close the original account?

Thank you for answers, moving some accounts to a new server and changing NS/IPs (downtime) is exactly what worried me, last time this was done some sites stoped working properly simply because of different PHP/MySQL versions and server configs. So most important for me is to stay on old server, will pass any promotion that involves moving anything partialy even if it was totaly free

Real problem here is that OC10 doesn't get any increases, this buy1 get1 free doesn't help either.

Still, new customers will benefit...

but unless you live in like Japan or Australia or China, its still june 14th, and im willing to bet that the code doesnt take effect until 12am PDT June 15th, atleast if its set up to take effect immediately, which is available in their old billing software, and i would assume be a standard feature in most.

edit: Looks like you live in the US... so ya... the promotion starts tomorrow for you, cause its still June 14 for another 20 hours or so.

So what if I purchase the silver plan? I obviously get a silver plan for free as well...but if I were to upgrade this to the platinum plan, would the free plan be upgraded as well?

Also, how do I set up my free plan? I registered and I got all the emails for the account that I paid for...but not for the second one.
