It's been over 5 hours since I ordered my free hosting (using my personal promotion coupon code) but I have not received an email, I had problems receiving the activation email for my payed hosting, I can access my cpanel account on 72.29.95.45 (SH100) but cannot access any files at http://72.29.95.45/~deadlyro. Is my account not ready yet?

Domain: deadlyrooster.com

http://72.29.95.45/~deadlyro/

I think the trailing slash was missing there so it was forwarding elsewhere. Please try the link above and you will see the directories.

Thanks... Does the trailing slash really make a difference?

Sorry to double post but are the nameservers for my hosting:

ns1040.dizinc.com
ns1041.dizinc.com

I've changed the nameservers but the domain does not work... Do I need to wait for it to propagate?

1) Yes, for the IP followed by user name, that last slash is necessary. It's definitely frustrating and a very common mistake.

2) If you just changed your dns, yes. Propagation takes anywhere from minutes to 48 hours...

Another issue... I assume my DNS has propagated because I can now access my hosting via my domain name but I cannot FTP into it via ftp.deadlyrooster.com

Does the subdomain 'ftp' need to propagate as well?

Yes, however you can (and I think should) use your IP# for your server name and bypass DNS's altogether.
