Actually doesnt it say in this promotions FAQ thread that they will not do any domain changes until January 2007?

Oh, you're right. Forgot about that! I'm really glad you pointed this out for rsprinkel... I think Surpass would be flooded with requests for changes if that rule weren't in place.

LOL Ok thanks for the clarification. Thinking and Searching time now for a GOOD reseller name.

Also is there a way when you receive your Order emails to find out exactly what server you are on?

Just wondering and again thanks for the Clarifications.

Thanks much in advance.

Sorry again for my forgetfulness earlier. To answer your question, no, you can't know for sure which server you will be on when you get your order confirmation because your account needs to be manually approved before it is activated. Whether you will be on Pass100 or Pass101 (for example) depends how many orders are placed before yours... You will get that info the moment your account is activated, though.

Good luck finding a great name and a domain to match!

I believe that is for any older account. You're not suppose to cancel or change domain until January 2007. But it would be good if there was a confirmation from Surpass team, just to make sure.

Wait a minute... Patty's right (which means I was too, initially ). Though I remember "January 2007" being mentioned several times in conjunction with domain name changes, according to David's FAQ page, domain names can be changed (the exact fee being $10, not $15) and there is no mention of having to wait to do so... I think the January date must simply have been mentioned in conjunction with the 6-month waiting period to make any changes to existing account, as Patty said.

How about this... can we move the domains from an existing account to the newly obtained 1for1 and reassign the new domain name to the old account until it expires? That way, when our old accounts expire, the framework is in place on the new account without having to flip flop a million things around later when it would be much more inconvenient on both sides.

as stated before this is for new accounts only. I don't know if you've read all 27 pages of this thread but this question has popped up several times in different forms. And in any even it would not be inconvenient for them to transfer account since it is handled entirely through whm and cpanel.... but that's besides the point.
