We will change your plan upon request if you want to switch to the new yearly price. It is your responsibility to let us know 6 days before your next billing due date (very important). You can also switch to yearly payment (away from monthly) and save money at any time.
If you have any questions about this post, or anything at all, please reply to this and I will answer you.
I'm a little bit confused on this question. Do you mean I still have to *request* for the new price if I don't change my plan? And I must submit the *request* exactly 6 days before the next billing date? (BTW, how can I find the billing date? )

Hello, I must say the upgrade is very nice! But I do have one question.

I noticed the Gold reseller plan I have, went from 25 gb, to 60gb of storage. I also noticed the SHARED Deluxe plan went from 10gb, up to 400GB! That is a HUGE increase compared to that of the reseller account, which I obviously pay more for.

Before the upgrade, the reseller had more space/bandwidth compared to the similar plan of the shared accounts, but now the shared accounts blow away the amount offered by the reseller plans.

Any reasoning behind this? It has me scratching my head, is there something I am missing?
I'm tempted to swtich to the down to the shared account!

Thanks!

Hello,

I got "pay one get two" shared plans last June.

How is it here, will they BOTH be updated or will I loose one of them when I upgrade? Can I decide WHICH to update if only one is updated?

Agreed. I have 4 OC10 accounts (2+2 Free) and must say that I am disappointed that it has been left so far behind. It used to be one of the best deals. This is the second upgrade that it has been left behind. The first was a sting as I have the BOGO promo under two accounts. It banaced out. This one is more like cutting the legs from under me.

The things I have to consider now are do I switch to a different reseller account or something even more drastic. I just finished getting all my sites reset from the server/new account moves and I REALLY don't want to go through another two months of tweaking sites to work right under a new server. The only thing stopping me from jumping on a shared account from a reseller is WHM.

Surpass has always been the best deal around, especially when it comes to reseller accounts. If all Surpass did was host non-OC10 resellers, the bump is not bad at all. If all they did was shared accounts, it is a heck of a deal. And then there is the OC10. With such an imblance, I have some things to consider as well.

There are far fewer resellers per server than there are shared accounts. Shared accounts may have a ton of 'space' available, but they are resouce restricted. If any individual account uses TOO MUCH - CPU / memory / etc - for example because someone decides to use that 400GB to host movies for download - they will get suspended and be told to move to a dedi...

I have a question. I have what used to be known as the Plasma plan for both my accounts, which was the $35 plan. So since it's called "Gold" now, what's going to happen? Is it going to be renamed or...

Unhappy

I know I will sound stupid and pathetic but... the upgrades have me in the brink of tears.

I'm on a dedicated server, that I find very hard to pay (we receive lots of help from visitors, but still) and the smallest plan of all has 500 GB more of bandwidth and almost twice as much space paying 1/25th of what I pay... also reseller plans receive that much more bandwidth and have more resources use, probably enough for my website.

I know we're paying for the memory and disk resources thing but I was forced to go dedi for a 1% overuse of the limits... I am happy with my server and all, but I find it really very unfair to be so limited with it... I understand about the space limits, but why not give us at least some more bandwidth at an affordable rate? I highly doubt most of us would be looking to compete with surpass for clients.

I may be rambling here but I'm actually upset... you're the best host out there, and I'm sure you will have lots of very happy new customers because of the upgrade and I'm happy for you... but us, who have been around for years now and recommend you and are the most loyal to you, why forget about us?

Well, realistically, it is going to be a challenge for anyone to use up those resources on the shared servers due to the fact someone whom uses that much will must likely have high CPU usage. And, all plans are oversold. No, that isnt a bad thing, at least not with Surpass. Why? They upgrade their servers when usage gets higher and migrates users when activity seems to increase, thus they stand by their package specifications. But, generally, people will use 5% of their quotas most likely.

I understand how you feel, but a dedicated is still more worth it, even which the lower space/bandwidth limit. You have the full power of a console and full CPU/etc with no one but you (and your clients?) using the CPU/RAM/etc. This also generates faster and better performance.

Also, Kayla has mentioned (hinted) that thought the VPS and Dedicated are still the same, there are plans for a near future revamp.

The OC10 plans have been upgraded as well. They are still a great value for their price, so I don't see how this deal has changed in terms of being unbalanced. It has half the resources of the first regular reseller package, and $5 less per month valued on it's yearly option. You do save $30 from the Bronze reseller's yearly price, and $30 more from the OC10.

It's fair from what I see.
