[Plan changes] Space and Bandwidth Upgrades : Read Please

We hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday. 2007 is nearing, the new site is nearly done, and we have changed our plans again. We've also narrowed down our plan selection. You can see these changes on our shared and reseller page.

  • Surpass, you're kidding me? No, these aren't typos. These are in fact the new amounts for space and bandwidth offerings. Our newest servers have multiple hard drives, and very large ones at that, so we are going to make the best use of them.

Our older servers, while they are being constantly updated, do not have drives with the same capacity as newer servers. (Keep in mind that we're starting to switch older servers to 1000GB Raid5/Raid10 systems over time to accommodate the space usage of our existing loyal clients.) Because of this we are not automatically upgrading everyone with existing plans to the new amounts (because obviously that has a potential of creating space issues prematurely).

But, if you do want the new space and bandwidth amounts we can modify your quotas manually for you. Just request it in a ticket: to make things easy state your domain name and your plan within the ticket and we will make the changes as soon as we can.

  • Plan changes: As stated before, the plans have been narrowed down. We wanted to simplify our line and have our focus on a small number of very large plans that are appealing to everyone. One shared plan and one reseller plan have been removed from our line.

  • Pricing: During this change, we also modified some of the yearly pricing on plans. This brings up the question, what happens when your plan is charged again?

We will change your plan upon request if you want to switch to the new yearly price. It is your responsibility to let us know 6 days before your next billing due date (very important). You can also switch to yearly payment (away from monthly) and save money at any time.

  • What if I'm on a discontinued plan? If you are currently on a plan that is no longer listed on our site, rest assured that you get to keep that plan and continue to renew it. However, the plans will no longer be available for new purchases.

  • Double Promo: If you took part of the Double Space/Bandwidth promotion, your plan will be upgraded to the current specs listed on the site. Please open a ticket including your domain name, and we will make the change as soon as possible.

  • BOGO Promo: If you took part of the Buy One Get One (BOGO) Free, your plan will be upgraded to the current specs listed on the site AND your free account will be upgraded to the current specs. Please open a ticket including the domain names on both of the accounts you received during the BOGO, we will make the change as soon as possible.

  • Downgrading: If you feel that your current plan offers too much space and bandwidth for you, we ask that you reconsider a moment before downgrading your plan. The purpose of our new plans is to give you more (much more!) for the price you are already paying.
If you have any questions about this post, or anything at all, please reply to this and I will answer you.

Hi Ruben,

Your account would receive the new specs of Bronze, 20/2000. The sales department can make these changes for you.

OK, this is going to sound dumb but ... I'm afraid I have to ask anyway
I forgot how much space and bandwidth I had. I signed up for the BOGO promotion Power plan back in June I think it was. So I have a few questions...

1. What was the old Power plan?
2. Can I upgrade?
3. If I upgrade do I lose my BOGO? So now I would have to pay for 2 separate plans?

Hi Sentinel,

The old Power plan was: 5GB space and 200GB bandwidth.

By upgrade do you mean get the new Power plan specs? If you submit a ticket we can change your space and bandwidth to the new amounts.

As long as you have the Power plan, you keep your free account.

Woh. So let me make sure that I am getting this right because this sounds too awesome and I must be dreaming.

So you are saying that right now I am paying $65 a yr for 2 accounts (because my second one was free) and I get 5GB of space on each account. But, if I submit a ticket, I can upgrade to the new power plan which would be $60 a yr (because my second account would still be free) and I would now have 200GB of space for each account???

If this true I will do it right now AND I will buy you a steak dinner! (And I can do it because I live just north of Orlando )

Sneagle, thank you for posting those, except those links are a little too old, before some of our other space/bandwidth bumps.

Here's a list:
  • Power 5GB/200GB
  • Deluxe 10GB/400GB
  • Pro 20GB/600GB
  • Extreme 30GB/800GB Discontinued plan name
  • Max 40GB/1000GB

  • Bronze 10GB/250GB
  • Silver 15GB/500GB
  • Plasma 20GB/750GB Discontinued plan name
  • Gold 25GB/1000GB
  • Platinum 50GB/2000GB

  • OC5 5GB/100GB
  • OC10 10GB/200GB

Our AEON plans, while very good plans, were short lived because now with the new upgrades, we no longer need them. Before these new upgrades there was a definite need for really large plans but we were not ready to upgrade across the board.

We also are not actively selling the WHM AP reseller plans any longer, but will continue to sell the WHM AP licenses.

Our Webdev plans, VPS and dedicated servers have not changed, but we do have changes in mind for all of these lines for sometime in the new year.

If you have any questions about the past plans compared to the present, please let us know.
