Just got this from Fantastico:
Quote:
Fantastico De Luxe 2.10.2 r43 (LATEST and STABLE releases)

Fixes:
- Fixed: MySQL issue (affecting the 11.1.X and 11.2.X branches of
cPanel)
So they are ready to go, too.

Excellent. =)

Hmmm.. last time I tried Apache 2.X locally (Windows version) it was buggy as all get out when it came to dealing with both SSI and PHP. Of the webhosts I've been on, none have used Apache 2.X with thier unix hosting plans. Must be some reason for it...

I did the same thing... this was like 2003 though if i remember correctly, maybe 2004... but i wasnt impressed. Now its been a few years, but i guess first impressions are everything lol... so far i havent been tempted to try again... Apache 2.0 just leaves a bad taste in my mouth lol

Apache 2.0.59 is a pretty stable version, that's the version I have all my students install on the Linux machines. I would not recommend Apache on windows at all though, it's much better on Linux.

I run Apache 2 on my windows machine and am pretty happy - only problem i had were oversized pages where sometimes my browser would display the raw code.
