My friend hosted at another company hsa cpanel 11...but does that mean that his is not stable?

I'd far rather they work the bugs out before it is released than rush to release, even if it takes them until July. Cpanel 10 works fine... cpanel 11 will add some nice features and some eye candy, but I'd take stable and bug-free over "almost ready and really cool" any day for a control panel.

It means that cpanel developers don't yet recommend running it in a production environment as it hasn't stood the test of time in real-world testing yet. To quote them

I suspect the admins here are good enough to work past any bugs, so I doubt it will be unstable as in 'major downtime' but it could mean some errors get kicked up during otherwise normal operations that force an admin to spend time working them out. I think the question is: do you want the new features / look badly enough that you will (be it indirectly in the case of shared hosting) pay for admin time to work through any kinks, or let others work though them and wait for the release version that is fully tested.
