-We are actively monitoring Tropical Storm Fay. We have extended coverage teams and necessary plans already in place.
-Orlando is about 150+ miles in from the gulf from the west. -Our data center is a reinforced telecom facility, previously housed a major international telecom provider. Our facility can withstand Cat 4 winds and interior walls Cat 5. Our data center is a building inside of a building. -In the event that we lose commercial power we have a Megawatt Diesel Caterpillar Generator with automatic transfer switch that is tied to a 500kva uninterrupted power supply, diesel trucks en route if necessary. -Our NOC staff of system engineers, network engineers, and Management works around the clock and stays in the NOC in event of a large storm in our area. -Storms usually degrade about 30-40% before reaching inland cities such as Orlando in Central Florida. Areas such as Ft Lauderdale/Miami (South Florida) and Tampa (West Florida) would have to worry a bit more. If you have any questions or concerns please contact our support team via http://desk.surpasshosting.com. Thank you
