Beef and green chili stew

Posted November 6th, 2007 at 11:03 AM by Alex
So yea, i have been a fiend for cooking always and forever, and when i moved into my new place my friend Sean bought me this pretty tight crock pot (slow cooker) and I have been dying to use it.

Well I'm planning on doing some pulled pork, or beef short ribs, or my buffalo chili that I usually do, but i wanted to something healthy and hearty. So i hit up the Publix last night, got some top round steak (diced in 1 in pieces), some russet potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, tomatillos, and four kinds of peppers (Green bell, Cubanelle, Jalapeño, and Habanero).

I decided to turn up my TV last night during Monday night football and get to cooking so that it could simmer all night. well the time has come...i cant wait for lunch and I will eat the best looking/smelling stew that ive had in a long time. Ill be sure to post pix. Woot

Kayla...yes i agree tomatoes are good but that would have taken away from the whole Beef and Green Chili feel so this time around i substituted red regular tomatoes for Green Tomatillos which as can bee seen below, are tomato-ish (have the same consistency is soaked in water, or this case a stew)
