My dogs ran away!

Posted April 15th, 2008 at 8:38 PM by lovetrick
My mother's boyfriend left the garage door open when he left for work. I, assuming that the door was closed because it usually is, let my dogs go out. One of the rare times I don't check to make sure the door is closed, it is open. Patsy and Lili bolted out. I panicked, I cried, I called my mother's boyfriend and told him that the dogs ran away, then I went outside and sat on my porch crying. After a while I heard some leaves rustling and called out for Lili. I crossed over my neighbor's lawn and luckily she came running to me. I was able to pick her up and Patsy followed. I felt bad having called Ed from work and have him rush home, only to have gotten my dogs back without his help.

This happened 2 hours ago but I'm still a good deal stressed out.

Aww, I'm glad you were able to get them back. This happened with my two cats once. Of course when one goes the other has to follow. One night, my mom left the front door open and I had opened the door to my room to let my cats go use the bathroom in the garage, they saw the opening and bolted outside. Both went all the way into the backyard where there are mostly bushes and trees, so I couldn't catch them. After about an hour, one of them came back (he's a mommas boy) and the other, my female cat (who was not neutered or spayed w/e it is) was still out there. All I could think was one of those nasty street cats was either going to fight her or rape her! 0_0 (dramatic I know)

After about 2 more hours and nothing, I went to sleep, dead tired and crying my eyes. Later in the morning I hear this mewing and scratching at the front door. When open it, in comes my female cat, like nothing was wrong in the world. I felt like strangling her. Never again did that happen, but boy was I scared, so I can imagen how you are right now.

LOL. Aww! But then you can't resist their cuteness and no harm occurs. :x

Unfortunately, yes. They are just too cute to stay mad at for long. =3
