Webmin takes a long time to get used to. I used to use it on my home server, and it may be that I'm just used to Cpanel, but it seems like things are buried all over the place. It doesn't seem like there is really much order to it.
Plus it's free. I'm planning on putting it back on my now Fedora machine once I get it straightened out. It works great, but things seem to be hard to find.

Webmin: Designed for server admins, not for reseller hosting. Significantly more functionality with regard to server maintenance than WHM. Many configs can be editted within Webmin and servers or services can be started and stopped by Webmin. It's really somewhere between SSH and WHM. Obviously with SSH you can do almost everything to the server.
WHM: Designed to automate hosting, not for server admins. It has a few features geared towards admin tasks, but very little. If you want to run a site or two, and know how to install programs in a Linux environment Webmin is a fine control panel. If your interested in reselling or hosting a large number of sites, WHM is the answer. Running both is beneficial, but use Webmin for admin tasks not covered by WHM and give your users cPanel/WHM. As for your login difficulty, you'll need to visit support at http://webmin.com. |

Actually, Webmin can exist on a WHM/cPanel server without problems. There are a few limitations, namely there is not a complete WebMin module for Exim, but there is a beneficial addon that has some functions. Its excellent to admin Bind, Apache, and an alternate reboot source as well as restarting WHM/cPanel. You must be running certain operating systems to run Webmin, but it's quite an extensive list. I've installed it on two servers running two different OS's and one with and one without cPanel. I highly reccomend it.

As what fwwebs5 said, its pointless to have Webmin if Shared/Reseller already come with Cpanel. Cpanel is great, don't get me wrong but (here it comes )I'm creating The ULTIMATE server. Simply, I didn't really want to cough up 30 extra dollars a month for my future colo package. Futhermore I'm selecting individual Open Source applications that are the best, that fit my needs to maximizing and optimizing the server. After looking and reading more on Webmin, it's now being a part of my arsenal. |

There's a free control panel that I've not used but seems to be a good alternative to WHM/cPanel. Take a look. http://www.tightvnc.com/ |
