Unhappy Fantastico - Gallery

Hi, I installed the gallery script from fantastico, I really like it better than 4images and coppermine as its more simple and yeah I just like it better but the problem is, I can not change the password or admin username after its installed, it remains the default username:admin password:admin I tried it 3 times, installed it twice but it does not work...can anyone tell me what to do please!

This sounds like one of those annoying problems I've had with installing something through fantastico. I installed Xoops once and it wouldn't let me change any of the preferences. It looked like they changed, but nothing actually changed. I ended up just removing it, and reinstalling by hand.

Edit it through phpMyAdmin. I'm sure it's in a config table somewhere.

Gallery version 1 password is set up in the Config. That's where you change the permissions for htaccess and config.php and the directory setup which throws you into the config where you can change the password.

Gallery version 2 which is now in late alpha test has a far superior install/config setup. I can't wait until it's at least beta.
