Either that or netgeist_user is not the username you created. It should be netgiest_the-user-name-you-specified-when-in-the-MySQL-Databases-page Ie. If you added the user netgeist_bob when you created the database, then in the 4images setup the Database username would be netgeist_bob |

Alive, but extremely stressed. With my wedding about 1 week away (and all the family joy that entails), the news that my fiance's car could literally blow up if she drives it again (and the car shopping that entails), and a major deliverable at work, I just haven't had the time to work on this!
I got the DB created tonight and was able to install 4images. Now I am stuck somewhere else: >>>You are nearly done. The next thing you need to do is delete the install.php file and and file in the 4images directory that begins with "update" There was no install file in this directory. >>>After that you need to change permissions of the following files (your gallery won't work if you don't do this - do it in your FTP program or in CPANEL's File Manager): chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/database chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/media chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/thumbnails chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/tmp_media chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : data/tmp_thumbnails chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : templates chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : templates/default chmod 777 (drwxrwxrwx) : templates/default/media<<< OK, I figured out how to change permissions. Trouble is, from this list, the only two files that exist are "data" and "data/database". The others don't exist on the server. Do I create them? >>>Once you've done that, you can now log into your new 4images gallery as administrator and finish setup in the administration control panel.<<< Not sure how to get to the gallery from here. Thanks again for all of your help! - netgeist |

The server you're on was included in one of the first emails you recieved from Surpass when you signed up. From the live server status list, I found hispida with an IP ending in 52 so I'm guessing that's what server you are on. Check your emails just incase I'm wrong though.
