AWstat questions

1. I've seen a link, somewhere, but now can't find, on a place to find out how to read an AWstat. Anyone know?

2. Authenticated users (on AWstat), sometimes shows me, and someone called "" -- what does this mean? Someone hacking the account, or attempting to? Today I found no names in there, but 1717 pages and 24027 hits, which seems a little excessive for me, specally as I wasn't doing much to the web site yesterday?

how many of your pages require authentication?

You mean, like a password to get in?
Only my admin pages (for photo gallery, guestbook) and forums log in.
Could they be people logging into forums?

or awstats treats unathenticated users as "--" or "guests" and lops them with the authenticated users.

Nope, it was a hacker. Guess they didn't like me banning their isp, the spammers. ticket in, not that I expect much. Closing the door after the horse has escaped.
