Fantastico: PHPNuke & PostNuke
Hi,
I tried to install PHPNuke (http://phpnuke.m2p.org) and PostNuke (http://postnuke.m2p.org) using fantastico. In both cases (and I tried more than once) something seems to be missing. I only get an error message instead of postnuke, and all the pics are missing in phpnuke (also the one with the security code on the admin page, so I can't even login as admin!) Is there something else I have to do (e.g. change some rights)? Or is there something wrong with fantastico? Btw, I'm on Pass17, so maybe the fantastico installation scripts suffered as well from the hardware failure. Paul |

Fantastico likes to install scripts a bit weird sometimes. In my history, it's always installing Xoops wrong in one way or another.
First, I suggest using either Xoops or Mambo instead, and second I suggest installing it manually (upload with ftp, and install according to the script's instructions). It's not the absolute easiest, but it will ensure that things get installed correctly. |

Yes, you are right, and this is what I normally do.
But for teaching purposes I had planned to set up phpnuke or postnuke on about 20 client accounts (my student's accounts), just as a temporary testing environment; so I wanted to save some time. - Well, bad luck for me then. Thanks Paul |
