cron not working in Pixel?

Hello,

I have a cron job running:

wget http://whogivesacrap.net/wp-mail.php

It is set to go off every 15 minutes, and it seems to have stopped running.

I can manualy navigate to the file and it will execute fine so I know it isn't a problem with the file.

I have tried removing and adding my cron a couple of times to try to reset things, and it still isn't running.

If I need to create a ticket on this, let me know and I will. I just wanted to start here.

I apologize no one responded to this thread yet. Only support would be able to examine your cron job.

According to Shivin they disabled wget. I had to change it to GET to "get" it to start working again...

Thanks.

WGET works on some servers and not on others. The same goes for GET. It is difficult to know which works on which server. Did Shivin indicate why wget was disabled?

He indicated "we have restricted the permission of wget to root user only.
Please try using GET command instead". I indicated to have some kind of mailing list set up to recieve policy and security changes in the future and he indicated for me to go here.

That is interesting because, as I posted, I have wget access on only one of the two servers I use. I'm not the root user.

wget is enabled now for users with jailed shell access.
