Fantastico PHPNuke, This, That, Other

I am new to this MASTER of WEB thing, lookin around in forums and in my cpanel i see this fantisco thing with a list of things i can install to add to my site
problem is i have no clue what most of these things are.
could anyone run down the list and give a brief desc. of what they do, i know what a blog is but no idea what a portal means. the live chat thing looks neat but what is a moodle?
