they do encode most of the program, so that people can not tinker with it.. does not bother me any..

I think the next updates will make it alot better, so if u want to use it, I would say sure, its alot better then phpcoin..

anyways

my best

yes, all good points mj.
Also next version of phpcoin will cost money after ten users, and pricing will increase with the more users you have. and nobody in the phpcoin forums seems to be very helpful either.

Sounds like the coppermine forums. That's not really to say that there isn't help there, but more that when you do ask about something, a lot of time there are some of their users (the frequent ones at that) who talk to you like you're an idiot or just act completely rude to you. It's why I've stopped using Coppermine. Plus, when you ask something that was mentioned in a thread once 12 years ago by someone a million posts back, they tell you to search the forum and close your thread. I'm sorry, but SMF is not known for it's wonderful searching abilities. Basically, it seems that you are on your own with it most of the time.

And now back to Accountlab lol...sorry, somehow I got off track.

Re: AccountLab licensing

kayla, I don't know how things are set up there, but maybe you'd get a really good deal because of the business they do with dimenoc?

I don't want to be a pain but is there anything on this yet?
I actually am starting to get some more business and really need to get it organized and only want to do it once.
Thanks.

After seeing the price increase for AccountLab, I decided to start looking around for other options.

Right now I'm leaning towards AWBS, since I need a new site anyway. Looks like it does it all. If you buy it, check the resellers. One of them sells it for $130 for an owned license.

ok... however they always are doing updates..

I have not seen or tested the software your recommending, and I am not willing to discount it.

but I have to ask

do they take what their clients have to say and implement it into their software, do they do free updates, and do they do updates up to 2-6 times a month?

just curious really, because honestly... I am always looking for an option that would work for me without to much of a pain in the butt. So far ALP is the cheapest. It may not be the best.. however anyone business must start somewhere.
