And the theme, you have to upload to the themes folder, but sometimes they are a little funny. Which one did you upload? |

I uploaded aqua-um to the themes folder. I uploaded pical, myalbump and tiny to the modules folder. I looked in the modules box to install but don't see them yet, I even tried logging out and back into my site. Could I include html coding for pages similar to yours in a tinyd box? I don't even know if I'm decribing what I want correctly. Good examples of tinyd, I understand what it is now, and am glad I downloaded it and will hopefully get it working. John Yes, that's the weather I want, but showing weather for my area. I want a news section and thought I had it figured out but all I ended up with was an rss button for msn, so my news isn't working. Thanks. valmg Last edited by valmg; August 24th, 2005 at 4:46 PM.. |

On the top part are those that will be put to use and come with the default theme I guess - System, fax, news, forum, contact us, sections, polls, headlines. On the bottom are 4 that I'm not putting to use right now that came with the default - downloads, partners, memberlist, links. no blank blocks anywhere. |

hmm...sounds like you didn't upload something right, or to the right place. can you make an ftp account for me to check it out with? it will have to have root access since you seem to have it in your root of the account. Basically, when you make the ftp account, and you put in the user name, it will put it in as a directory too as (say it was djsckizo) /djsckizo
just take out the djsckizo part and leave it as / You can email the account info to djsckizo gmail.com and I'll check it out. |

Ok, I saw what happened. You didn't unzip them. You had uploaded the Tar file. I have weird problems with Tar files myself. When I unzip one, I get another tar file and have to unzip that to get the actual contents. That's part of why I use zips when I can.
Anyway, I downloaded and untar'd them for you, than reunploaded them how they should be. You should be able to install them now. Are you still having problems with the theme? It looks like you installed it correctly. The way you set the theme in this case, is to go to the Preferences of the Admin section and set it to use the theme you uploaded. |

Ok, this should be how to get the theme working.
System Admin > Preferences > General Settings Change "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" to Yes. Change Selectable Theme and Default Theme to the one you want to use. As for the groups settings, make sure you have that specific block selected in the Anonymous group. Sometimes I select the wrong one, or forget to turn on a specific module. |
