I remember trying to start a site using b2(foundation of wp) as a base, however I used a javascript set up so that people could use it to add a blog to their personal site without having to install any blog software. lol The site's actually still up kwikblog.com.. I put it up in December, and I haven't touched it since December.

Bit of an update on the what and how of WP.com, I got a reply to my feedback form from Matt himself, in regards to plugins, backing up and importing:
So who is WP.com geared toward...? As I said somewhere in all those prior posts, it's basically designed as a hassle free way to get people blogging. Period.

I'm still quite sure it'll become more than that, things like this always do. But I am wrong on one aspect, there currently is no plan to turn this into a means of revenue for WordPress in general. I think that rumor sort of started due to weird interpretation and quotage by several people. That coupled with the .com aspect of the domain. (Of course WP acquired the .net domain and no one thought they'd start running a hosting company!)

Anyway, enough of my babble!

Looks like wp.com is starting to send out invites, so if you've signed up at the main page with an email, you should be hearing something soonish.

And if you haven't, you can still run over and add your addy.

So go get one!
