Ajax

Just curious.. Is anyone else playing with or using AJAX? I just start this evening and made a cool little thing to switch the view of some pages. It's quite an interesting language.. Anyhow, the reason I ask it I'm just wondering what implementations people have used and if they could provide samples.

Here's mine so far: http://haugland.ca/ajax/

I have been reading up on it, but I haven't really attempted much. WordPress is rolling out some AJAXian stuff with 1.6 (sliding comments for instance) - and there's some neat AJAX stuff in the admin panel at wp.com. They even are using it to make live replies on the support forums.

It's really an incredible language. I want to really delve into it more...so many things I want to do.

This reminds me that there needs to be an AJAX board.

I just started playing with it at the end of last week, and I'm having a lot of fun. I'm working it into a new page for the site at my work, and I'm re-writing the only partially completed page on my own site to take advantage of it.

And, just because I'm anal, I'm going to correct you and say that AJAX isn't a language, it's a technology or technique (Asyncronous Javascript And XML).

Yeah, I'm well aware it's not its own language. It's just very cool what it can do ... but I haven't had the time to take it further yet with the amount of homework I get on a daily basis.

Be sure to post a link to your AJAX work when it's completed, I like checking it out to see how people are implementing it and what uses they're using it for.

I need to pick up a book on it. I'm sure they have a book. Today is payday so hopefully I have some extra cash and I can get one.

Ah. Doing that now. AJAX is excellent and we need to talk about it more. This thread will be moved there.
