UPDATE NOW! or so it says.
When I go into Fantastico, it tells me I have an out of date installation of phpBB. There's a link to update it. Thing of it is, I updated it a while back
It says the installed verison if 2.0.11 when I manually updated it to 2.0.16. How can I get Fantastico to stop telling me to update? Clair |

That's because you did a manual upgrade, Fantastico only recognizes it's own installations and upgrades. (Which is why it's always best to do manual installs and upgrades.)

I realize that is why it says that. I would like for it to stop. Just a minor annoyance. I'll remove it and install it by hand if that's what it takes.

I think if you just delete the fantastico files in the phpbb install that'll clear it up for you (and in the fantastico folder in the homedir...but I wouldn't know for sure, I've never used fanastico.

Thank you. I forgot Fantastico actually places files IN the installation.
I just edited the version in the fantversion.php file and the "UPDATE NOW" message went away. Clair |
