finally tried a different CMS

Well, after using PostNuke for a few years, I decided to try Xoops after hearing about it here lol...

I'm not entirely crazy about it, but I can't say I mind it that much either. There are a few things that I wish I could have kept that PostNuke offered.

Anyways, check it out, the main theme just modified a tad for now. I want to get some flash going on and doing some work to get my previous databases back after loosing them on my previous host...

I just wish that they were able to recover it but there was some major issues on their end, that's why I'm now getting a dedi.

Welcome to xoops.

What things are you referring to?

Failure is not an option. It comes standard with all Microsoft products.

Hmm...

Sounds like I need to go recruiting over in the "Joomla" forum.

The "team" as it were, Pika, did not 'go apart'. 95% of the developer team went Joomla. The Mambo team has 7 - yes, 7 - members listed of the Core team.... Joomla has at least twice that many, and most with a lot more experience.

P.S. they have promised in their roadmap that Joomla! and the latest release of Mambo will be cross-compatible. You should be able to install Mambo and then upgrade to Joomla! at a later time when it is released.

one of my co-workers is absolutely addicted to Mambo, I don't know if I can guide him otherwise.

I still prefer PostNuke over any I've used: PHPNuke, Xoops, Mambo to name the big guys.
