Viewing new web site
Hi, can anyone tell me how to view a web site which has been transferred to surpass, prior to transferring the DNS (eg, is there an IP path...???) or another way?
Thanks in advance.

I'm using this exact format (http://serverip/~username/) for ftp into a new site but cant access it. I've added 3 new accounts but cannot acces any of them.
Any suggestions? I'm using the account name as the username, the account password and port 21. I can access the account through cPanel, just cannot ftp into it. Does this format (http://serverip/~username/) for the ftp address still work. I know it used to. Thanks. W

that is only for viewing the site on the web
to ftp to it, ftp ftping tp the ip address, and then using your username and password. and no, i dont believe that ever worked for ftping. the prefix HTTP is for the web, it defines the protocol to use. if you wanted to use ftp you could try ftp://serverip/ instead, that might work in ie or some other browsers. |
