trouble with captcha plugin
I've installed a plugin to add captcha to my WordPress blog (and hopfully help eliminate spam comments):
SecureImage: http://uberdork.supertwist.net/2005/...in-plug-it-in/ When I installed it, the background image would appear, but no captcha text. I tried changing the ImageMagick path to convert. I tried all of the following: /usr/bin /usr/bin/ /usr/bin/convert /usr/local/bin/convert /usr/X11R6/bin/convert /usr/bin/X11/convert Nothing seemed to work, and so I emailed support. They suggested using: "/usr/bin/mogrify". That didn't seem to work either. So I don't know if it's the path that's the problem, or something else. It appears to look for the font "FreeSansBold.ttf". Could it be I need to have the font installed? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not familiar with the plugin - and right now I'm in a bit of a rush for time so I can't install it and play - but I would assume yes you need to have the font installed somewhere and point the script to it. (Or whatever font you want to use.)
Let me know if that fixes it for you - I should be back later today and I'll have the time to fiddle more. |

Okies, I lied. Turns out I did have some time. I researched this a bit and I think the problem does stem from the font. However you don't need to install it, it's being called from ImageMagick. Quite honestly, I don't know how to resolve this, I couldn't get the plugin to work.
You might try - http://www.blueeye.us/wordpress/index.php?p=5 - which used GDLib to make the image. Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be more help. |

I fiddled with this for some time now, and can't seem to get it to work at all.
I attached an image of what exactly is happening. (The top screen capture of the comment form is mine. The bottom is what is *should* look like.) I think I'll just go ahead and try the plugin you suggested. Thanks.
