I'm using Coppermine, but I'm honestly a little disappointed with it. You have to manage all of your pictures through it or else it breaks. Also, it doesn't really permalink...the links it provides to the pictures changes every time you upload a new file or change the order of your albums...so there's no way to give a link to someone to go to an album that will always work, despite any re-ordering you do.
I'm hoping to find a different one that doesn't have that "feature". ;-) For those out there using non-Coppermine, do the others have that issue as well? |

. My issues with Coppermine is with the video uploads. any video uploads that are above like 2-3 mb, fail to upload. from what i was reading in their forum, its because of the server. something in the server makes the upload to time out. i have yet to find a solution. my 2nd issue with coppermine, is that they dont seem to be friendly at all. so before going in there to post spend a couple of days researching what you are looking for. |

I started doing my photo albums the old fashioned way with Dreamweaver and the Fireworks plug in. Nothing thrilling and as Jamie posted on another thread, no one can leave comments. I need to take the plunge and step into a program, but am just seeing how far I can get on my own. I need to dust off my old PHP books and try automating some of the stuff.
