WordPress 2.0

WordPress 2.0 has been out for a few days now. And I have to say, I like it a load.

Some plugins might not work right (the theme-switcher acts up, the ultimate tag plugin also), but overall it looks good.

Actually, it's only been an official release since yesterday.

As for the plugins, just keep up with the authors and stuff. It's up to them if they update their own work, but chances are they will soon enough.

I can't seem to get 2.0 installed. I've tried both the .zip and the .tar.gz archives using both FTP and the Filemanager. When I hit %wordpress%/index.php, I get the following error:

Code:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp() in /home/%username%/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 14

My domain resides on Pass28 (72.29.77.211)

Any ideas?

You need to run the install script at http://addressofwpinstall/wp-admin/install.php - also if this is an upgrade make sure to follow all of the instructions on the Codex upgrade guide. (Deleting all files and folders aside from wp-content and running upgrade.)

Thanks for the response. I solved my problem by manually editing 'wp-config.php' before running the install script.

All I did was delete all the files (minus the ones mentioned) and it worked directly. I <333 it

Now I need to get the rss. plugin working.
