CPanel timeouts/no connection

I can never access CPanel from my work computer (not just on Surpass, but on any host), yet it works fine from my home computer. I'm assuming it's some kind of firewall/ports blocking at my work admin's end.

Is this a common complaint from users, and is there a way around it (other than asking work to unblock certain ports). Just seems strange that it's the only page I ever have trouble accessing at work, as they don't make a habit of blocking access to things.

Create and password protect a subdomain for cpanel.yourdomain.com and install the files you get from http://cpanelproxy.net/ and you can connect from port 80.

Same for webmail and WHM.
