hi there =)
i'm using fantastico to install phpwcms, but i got a problem. the installation works fine, but when i try to get there i get the common "unable to find server" error. i had the same problem trying to install wordpress, so now i know it's a fantastico problem. the final url should be http://www.domain.com/cms but what i get is only http://domain.com/cms , that doesn't work. i've been able to fix it in wordpress with admin panel but i can't with phpwcms... suggestions? thanx in advance! |

so what you're saying is that the path in the scripts you are installing are setup wrong? In that case, the phpwcms script may have a config file in it where you set the path, or perhaps in the database itself is where it's setup.

actually i started all over again but doing it by myself (cause there's a new version of phpwcms).
the problem was only in some path values as you said: the "site" must be the domain name (just like "http://www.domain.com") and the "root" var must be the subdir where the cms is (like "cms"). ok no problems with fantastico then ![]() thanx ![]() |

I prefer installing manually, because I've had too many troubles with Fantastico. Plus, you have to wait for them to update, so you can update.
