Updating after installing via Fantastico?
I am finally replacing my custom code with xoops, and I am not sure if I should use the Fantastico install or do it my self. The Fantastico seems to include almost everything I need, but I want the 2.2 version of xoops, which Fantastico doens't have.
Would there be any problems updating xoops 2.2 over the Fantastico 2.0 version? J. |

Do it yourself. Less problems updating down the road when you need to update to the newest version, and Fantastico doesn't have it listed yet.
As for updating over 2.0 with 2.2, I haven't done the conversion yet so I'm not sure how everything reacts, given that there are so many changes between the two. I would recommend just installing 2.2 by hand and going from there.
