CoBrand Setup Via WHM in CPanel

Hi,

Have any of you set up a cobrand site in cpanel/whm?
Could i possibly get a run down on how i would do this please?

I have a few different affiliate programs i'm thinking of trying out.

Had the first cname info set up for me by surpass staff,
But now i have access to those edit zones features myself,
Just don't know how to use them to set up a cobrand

To be honest, i don't understand how it all works.
And when this is set up, what url would i be directing visitors to.

Could someone correct me if i'm wrong..

The line I have to add is example:

"mysubdomain IN CNAME affiliate.com"

So..
If i created a subdomain named "mysubdomain" (on the site i'm creating the cobrand)
Then log into my whm and goto edit zones
And add a new entery down the bottom:

In the first box i'd put "mysubdomain
Then after "IN" i'd select from the dropdown "CNAME
And after that there's 3 boxes
I'd put "affiliate.com" in the first box
Then save it?

So i'd use the same url in my affiliate's site for redirected url?

And the url i'd give people would be:

www.mysubdomain.mydomain.net ?

Which would link to the new cobranded page?

Am i right or wrong?

1. Don't create a subdomain. Simply add a Cname entrie to your DNS zone.

I thought from the first cobrand i had, it required me to set up a subdomain
Create a cname entery ok.. to my dns zone?
If i don't create a subdomain how will i know whatto put in the cname for subdomain

Are you on a dedicated, VPS, or reseller account?

Pass23 is a reseller server.

Don't do anything, just have Surpass Support set up the CName.

The cname info i set up looks exactly like the first one surpass set up for me
I'll ask them to look at it but i think i got it right, only one line to fill in.
Surpass will set it up, but they're not gonna explain how it all works,
that's one of the reasons i'm askin here, not sure what i'm doin with it
