Question another wordpress question...

Okay, I have another question i hope someone can answer for me. Well, I had a user that was a friend of mine, but a situation came up, and kept hacking into my private protected entries. I had to ban her IP(s) many times, because she simply wouldn't stop hacking into my site. So my question is: is there any way I can can approve of someone when they register with my site? Is there anyway I can activate/approve of people when they register onto my site, so i can prevent anyone from hacking into my site?

I hesitate to venture too far here as I am not a Wordpress Pro but I have not seen a plugin that would require admin approval prior to allowing registration. Of course you can keep guests and registered users from leaving public comments until you approve the post.

There are plugins to prevent registration by IP address and plugins to allow finer control over registered users access to posts.

CMS systems, such as Joomla, can be enhanced to prevent registration unless the admin approves the request. I use this on a family website to prevent non-family members from seeing family content.

Kind of depends on how you use the blog as to what your options might be.

I have another question. Is there anyway that I can block protected or unknown IP's like this: Example 1 Example 2 If wordpress can't do it, can surpass block unknown/protected IP's? I wanna be extra cautious so that I won't get hacked again?

Also, when my old friend hacked into my wordpress site, she went straight into my profile, then registered. Is there any way I stop her from going straight into my wordpress admin or my profile? I wanna get my site up and running again, but I don't want her hacking into my site or profile again. This is also why I wanna know if i block/ban unkown protected IP's.

You can completely turn off "anybody can register" within the dashboard. At that point, you have to create the IDs.
