I had used Fantastico to upgrade one of my Wordpress blogs and it had done something wrong so I can't view any of the entries on the main page of the blog.
From what I read at Wordpress.org support, I need to grab the backup of the database and then do a fresh reinstall of Wordpress. I was wondering how I go about using the Backup feature under the "Manage" section in the Admin panel. It says, "Your wp-content directory is NOT writable! We can not create the backup directory." What permissions should I set this to? Should I just go ahead and create the backup folder? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The blog I'm using is ver 2.0.2.

I'm assuming you're on a server that doesn't have phpsuexec enabled, because you shouldn't get that writable error if you were.
Permissions would need to be set to 777 in that case. So I would suggest that you set it to 777, run the backup, then change it back to what it is right now (probably 755)
