/me feels stupid for deleting the administrator link from one of the menus

I tried to get it back by making a new link, but somehow that doesn't work

If I assume correctly that you are referring to either your portal or forum, just look at the original file in the zip or tar you downloaded and copy what you deleted, back to your active file.

I was lazy and did a Cpanel install, but I think I have it fixed now. (And I was refering to a Mambo/Joomla site I was creating on a subdomain).

If I understand correctly, you would choose the menu link at the top;

choose othermenu

choose new icon on top right

choose under the links section: link-url

Name field: Administrator
Link field: administrator/


then make sure its published
