Urgent Joolma Help Needed!

Hey Everyone,

Sad to say my first post here is a big problem, instead of a "hey guys what's happening"

Anyway, Here's the deal of my last 36 hours of nightmare.

I have a reseller Silver hosting package, on this package I have a game fan site. It's using Joomla 1.0.7.

Well Surpass out of no ware suspended that site, with no notice or anything word from them. Well I find out the reason was for cgi/php overusage. So after posting and posting, trouble tickets, and emailing the admin. I convinced them that it had to be caused by a new component that we just installed. And that if they would restore the site, I would take that off.

Well, finally they restored the site, but at the same time they turned off the phpsuexec, so the site did not work. I had to change some permissions to even get to the front page of the site. I was able to uninstall that component. But nothing was showing writeable. So a few emails later they turned phpsuexec back on, and set everything to be writeable.

But now NONE of the links work! If the link has /content/bla bla bla or has /component/blablabla they don't work. So I'm trying and failing to figure out how they suspension and/or turning phpsuexec on & off could cause this. And how do I go about fixing it.

This site is very busy normally, and I'm afraid I'm going to loose all my visitors/members because I have a broken site.

Does anyone have any idea's on how I can get this fixed? Reinstalling joolma is not an option since the site is very big, with a bunch of content and addon's (2gig's of hard drive space).

Anyway thanks for any input.

Mike

Ok, got it figured out. Thanks to some help from over at the joomla forums.

It was the Search Engine Friendly Url's. I turned that off, and the site's links started working again.

Then I turned it back on, and had to rename the htaccess.txt to .htaccess, and got my SEF's back.

So incase anyone has this problem, there's the solution.

The site is www.flatoutjoint.com
