Hacking? Or a very odd Cpanel?
Hey, up until about 9:36 EST my coppermine gallery was fine, then at about 9:36 I looked in my directory and everything was almost gone you can view it here http://stacey-f.org/photo I am hosted by a friend of mine, on a reseller account. I did download a directory, but when I upload it, it says Restoring Database even when I click Upload and nothing is in the browse box it still does the same thing. I am uploading the file to the MySQL Database Backup. Do you think I was hacked? Or is it something to do with the authorization since I am not an admin. Thanks to anyone who can help!

You have no files in the photo/ directory, only folders which also do not have any files. They have been deleted, the cause yet to be determined.

Is your database in tact? Are you able to see the tables and fields and data in phpMyAdmin? You might have avoided a problem with it. Sorry if I am misinterpreting your "BUMP".

All I am really trying to receive is my picture files. And the whole coppermine gallery that was in my /photo section, that of which is now gone. [I appolgize for my not very smart questions, LaughLaughLaugh] |

Go to WinZip.com and download a trial copy of winzip. It will allow you to unzip linux archives (gz and gzip) as well as zip. You will then have your entire photo/ directory which you can upload via FTP to your server. phpMyAdmin is a GUI provided through cPanel to view your databases as well as a graphic means to do maintenance. You can find a link to it in cPanel --> MySQL Databases near the bottom. Pick your database and look for the "Browse" button, and don't touch the red "X". ![]() Learning is a virtue, don't allow yourself to get sidetracked from your mission. You can also e-mail me via my profile.

I did send you an e-mail, but I'd rather do it through here so I can access it all in a later date if this happens again.
But, yesterday I did convert it using a program called wrar361 it converted it to .gz.part. When I extract the files, nothing happens in winzip. EDIT: It asks me this when I try and convert it click here for a screen shot. Last edited by ::Andrew::; September 17th, 2006 at 1:24 PM.. |
