Ok guys and gals,
So far I've gotten help whenI needed it so here's one more for the pot. Problem one: In the WebHost Manager under cPanel branding: The list of graphics that can be changed there is no graphics coming up so I can't tell whats what. This one isn't as important as the next problem: Problem two: I have my customers cPanels set to cPanel xp (or X as I'm seeing) I read through on how to change the branding and did what it said (I think) I just wanted to add my logo to the banner at the top that says cPanel XP, I downloaded that pic, and just added the logo to the other side, same sizes and everythign else. I then uploaded it to the branding directory on my site as it said to do. First I left the pic file name the same as the original... (can't remember the name now) then I changed it to cp.gif as it said to do in the instructions... the I changed it to logo.gif as what also mentioned... Nothing worked. What am I doing wrong and can this theme even be branded? The theme name on the cPanel is cPanel xp but all the other parts of it are listed as just cPanel x. I also tried putting the branded file in all the "x" related folders under branding / theme name :frust:

No it isn't normal. That is odd how no one noticed this here.
Did you email support surpasshosting.com after the first day of not getting reply? You should have. The only post I can find in the forum about branding is this one.... and it did not get resolved either. http://www.surpasshosting.com/forums/index...ST&f=12&t=2438& Please go ahead and email support about it, and now that this post has been bumped up, maybe someone here in the forum will also see it. Then you will have a multitude of answers from different areas. |

Here is something else:
cPanel Branding Branding has been setup. You can upload images/text for themes that support branding to /home/yourhost/cpanelbranding/themename. If the admin has installed the bluelagoon theme, you can test out branding by using the following steps: 1. Upload a new logo via ftp or cpanel to /home/yourhost/cpanelbranding/bluelagoon. The file must be named cp.gif,cp.jpg, or cp.png. 2. Login to any account you own with that is uses the bluelagoon theme. 3. If you uploaded the image in the correct place the cPanel logo in the upper left hand corner should be replaced with the image you uploaded. The bluelagoon theme includes the following tag where the cPanel logo is normally displayed: <cpanel Branding="image(cp)"> When cpanel sees this tag, it will look in the account owner (reseller)'s cpanelbranding directory for the image. If it does not find an image with the specified name ending in .gif,.png,or .jpg; cpanel will use the image that has been included with the theme. Notice that the name of the image is included in the tag <cpanel Branding="image(cp)"> would look for cp.gif,cp.png, and cp.jpg. The tag <cpanel Branding="image(logo)"> would look for logo.gif,logo.png, and logo.jpg. You can also use the branding text tag to include branded text in a cpanel page. The tag <cpanel text="text(supportinfo)"> will look for supportinfo.txt in the cpanelbranding folder, and insert it where the tag is. If you are inserting text into an html page, you can place html tags and text in the text file. |

How does the Cpanel Branding feature work?
The Cpanel branding feature is very simple to use . Simply place an image called cp.gif, cp.jpg, or cp.png in the folder in your home directory called /cpanelbranding/bluelagoon. (full path to directory is /home/username/cpanelbranding/bluelagoon) Once you place an image there, it will replace the 'cpanel' image at the top of your users' cpanel. That's all there is to it. At the time of writing, the Bluelagoon theme is the only one that supports this feature. However, we do expect others, specifically the X skin, to follow shortly. |

Ok, thank you. I think I had seen that BlueLag.. was the only one brandable but it said others would be soon and since I saw directories for X in my branding folder I assumed it was possible now since there was no way of knowing how long ago that information was written.

X can be branded a bit. But it is still very buggy at this point. One day it will be fixed... One sweet day.
