You can chmod via ftp. You can also run a few simple commands to delete files/folders, and create files and folders, and to rename files and folders. It's limited, yes.

I've been having trouble with changing permissions of files on pixel... I can do it via ftp, but I can't do it programatically. I had a php script that would automatically chmod new files it created, and it used to work fine, but now i get an error saying :
Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /home/fredric/public_html/logindetect.php on line 37

I just said " :cen: it" and downloaded CoreFTP. It works pretty good and changing the file permissions is cake. So if anyone else is having this problem, CoreFTP is a good option. Although I have only used it a day, so give me a week to come back and say it sucks.

Thanks again to those that lent input.
