I came to Surmunity when I noticed some problems with my site. I have been looking at all of the posts about the hacking issue. I believe I am on pico but I'm not certain. In any case, my site seems to be up and running except for one very vital part. I have a moodle database installed with courses that support teachers and their learners. My moodle site seems to be down. I made a backup one week ago but I am reluctant to try and restore it unless it is necessary. I don't want people to loose a week's worth of work and I don't want to screw anything up.

When I look at cPanel I see that Disk hda3 (/) is at 90% and flashing red. Disk hda1 (/backup) is at 92% and flashing red. I don't know what that all means but I assume the server is having difficulties. I also noticed that the fantastico in cPanel seems to be unavailable. My question is:

Should I give this 24 hours before I panic and try to do some sort of restore/salvage or should I just get to it right away? :fear:

Horde Email, Squirrelmail, sql functions and .php are not working on my domain/subdomains on the site.

mySQL has failed, and dunno why horde and squirrelmail don't exist now

A support ticket has been sent.

Hi Ross,

I don't see any tickets from you recently. The only one I see from you is regarding your stats not updating, which should be fixed.

As for the new problem, I just checked it, and it should be fixed now as well. Let me know something....

Thank you for you help. It looks like everything is now up and running; although when I look at the server status under cPanel 'Disk hdb1 (/backup)' is still flashing red. I believe that I'm on pico server.

I'm off to make another backup quickly.

backup flashing red is actually good, which means the backup drive is actually backing up the accounts on the server

Everything is checking out fine now. When I was having trouble last night, I noticed that fantastico was not available from cPanel. Now that everything is working, cPanel is also up and running from cPanel. I don't know if this is a coincidence.

I was originally on the now defunct hispida server. I believe we were moved over to pico or pica but I don't recall now.
