Why can't some people see my site?
I have a couple of unique problems that I am attempting to resolve regarding http://ripdamerica.org.
This site was designed using e107 which is a CMS program. I chose this one over others (Xzoom etc) because it uses html themes which are much easier to customize. (1) The problem is that certain individuals get a message on IE that says "you are not authorized to view this page" while in Firefox they get a blank page. This only happens to a few. Most folks see the site perfectly. I suggested them that it seems to be a browser issue or perhaps an issue with their routers, but that does not seem to be the case. Signup is not required to view the site and the opening page is not password protected. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening. (2) I am unable to make a java drop down menu work on this site. I am using Allweb menus and have made the correct location links to where the js file is located. I would appreciate any help on this you folks can offer. Thanks ahead of time. Frank |

Check file and directory permissions. That's usualy the cause of something like this. You didn't say which server you were on, but if PHPSUEXEC is on the server, files need 644 and directories - 777. Have you tried Joomla?

Are you using another language besides English? If so, it could be that some language files are missing or corrupted.
I use e107 for one of my clients and it's a great system, very easy to customize indeed. I had a similar problem with a blank page in some areas and it was related to language files. Also check file permissions like Bigjohn said. Except that directories should be 755 on phpsuexec servers. ![]()
