My Cpanel does a very poor job of tracking keywords and keyword phrases surfers use to find me.

I have been doing a lot of tests lately by typing in various keyphrases at google and when I find a listing in the serps for my various pages and click through to my site I notice that my Cpanel very rarely shows these keyphrases in the keyword stats section, it's so innacurate that it makes tracking keyword popularity a joke.

What could be the cause of this ?

Yes, I allways update every time I check my stats, (about once a day), two days ago I found my site around 20 times in googles listings for various keyword phrases yet according to Cpanels keyword tracking section it did'nt show even 1 instance of any of the phrases I know was used to find my site !

If this is the best Cpanel can do I will have to find another host as tracking keywords is vital to targeting visitors

I have been using awstats because analog is an even bigger joke on my account , (the keyword section has'nt been updated for 3 months)

Even so the tracking system of awstats should'nt be this bad

Alan, I do not know why you are having this problem. Awstats is usually very reliable about things like this. I have never had a problem on any of the sites I run. Nor have I heard anyone else with this problem.

If you would, PM me your login information, and some of the keywords you are searching for through your site, and I will look into it and see if I can figure out the cause. It is just weird behavior...
