I work on a fansite doing the photo galleries, so I decided to use the 4images script to post the pictures. Unfortunately, the domain I work on (not owned by me) does not support mysql and php :P - soo I installed it on my domain, and that's where my questions come..

First, the thumbnails. I thought I had to install ImageMagick until I read the post from Kayla about the paths to this (which means all I do is insert the path into my settings, correct?). Well, I did that, and the images are the default thumbnails, not sure how it creates thumbnails from my pictures (automatically.. or do I have to create them)? By the way, I am inserting the URLs to the pictures on the fansite domain, not uploading from my computer.

Second, I know there is an option called 'Download URL' which is what I need, so the pictures are downloaded from a different domain than mine (the domain where the images are stored). I've tried to do this also, but when I click download, it downloads from my domain(?)

And I'm curious to know... since I'm hosting this gallery on my site, and the images are hosted on a different domain not owned by me, how much bandwidth and space will it use up from my domain? This fansite is very popular with over probably 1,000 images and I'm trying to get some insight whether I should do this or not.

Here is the link to the gallery: 4images Gallery
