hi,
i just joined surpass hosting.. i now have several problems on myself. first thing, i cannot delete some directories, since some files are in hidden position, for example, .htaccess file under /dir/dir1/dir2 i've known some ftp programs cannot delete whole directory.. second thing, i cannot access www.mydomain.com/cpanel www.mydomain.com/webmail www.mydomain.com/stats etc even it should be working after 2 days of changing DNS and setting up. :o the main problem is i tried to map the subdomain on a directory. the redirection doesn't pinpoint to the certain directory at all.. any clues or any suggestions? i'd like to hear if from you guys, thanks  best regards, kidd kidd myrealbox.com |

the subdomain IS a directory, you will see a folder identical to your sub in the public_html folder.
also, 2 days isnt enough. it can take up to 72hrs, some ppl take longer, depending on their ISP. as for deleting some folders, you can always do it from cpanel (when you can access it), from the file managment link |

Have you both sent in Support tickets? Maybe there's something going on with your specific server - are you both on the same server?

well my sub domains are still not working. one of the surpass live people said that it could be the dns not updating as fast but i also checked with a couple of my friends who also have hosting through surpass hosting and they have absolutely NO problems setting up sub domains.
What is going on? is this a server problem? i can view sub domains that were set up in the past but the new ones i set up say they are set up but they are not viewable as a sub domain. HELP PLEASE!!! ![]()

There have been some problems with support emails lately on certain servers. If you don't get an auto-reply to your emails that looks something like this:
![]() then you should instead submit your support question via the helpdesk. [link below] You will have to create a username and password (I used the same username/pass as on the forums). Surpass Helpdesk As far as cpanel is concerned: it is accessed via port 2082 In other words www.yourdomain.com/cpanel is the same as www.yourdomain.com:2082 Some firewalls block this port but I haven't heard of any complaints yet of ISP's blocking this port. Until your dns propogates you can also use yourservername.surpasshosting.com/cpanel or the ipaddress/cpanel. The ip should be in your activation email. Not sure about the subdomains. Submit a ticket via the helpdesk link above. Hope this helps, sandersans :bananadance:
