I am after a program for my site but not exactly what it would be called. I was hoping someone may be able to help.
![]() On my site I have a "News & Gossip" page. I would like to have a link under each entry that fans can click on and leave their thoughts. [Kind of like when you view someones blog it has that comment link and you say soemthing and then click submit and it automatically is posted.] Any help would be great, thank you.

It would be easiest if you set up a blog at your site, at:
http://gossip.yoursite.com And posted news/gossip as blog posts, so that comments are already built in. Or maybe someone else has another idea... Is your site currently a blog already or just HTML pages?

Just HTML pages. Quite large pages too. I never thought of the blog indea. But if there was a way to do it another way would be better as the pages are already made up.

Try a search for free comment scripts.
Just make sure they are updated and not too old.. security issues. People can use them to spam. You can also use a third-party website that logs your comments. I was thinking of www.haloscan.com but I am not sure if you can put their box on just a HTML page.. seems you should be able to.

just make sure it has some sort of spam prevention tools on it. captcha, human detection (asking a simple question), requiring registration (that also has a captcha on it). Or you will quickly see your sites spammed
