Browsers are like heart transplant doctors. You want to educate them with your scripts so you know you don't have a rejection on your patient. IE has a greater degree of finesse to details.
Trying now.

Ok then that means you really do need some IE compatible styles for your CSS. Ugh, right now my mind went blank, but I think you have to right out position: absolute. I'm gonna go look it up...

I think the creators of this design don't like IE (Can't blame them)

By floating all your main divs left, it is hard to visulize what sequence you do want. The image indicates you want two skinny on the left under the header image, and the blog to align with the header image at the very top Try float: right; on the div you want on the right and at the same time clear: left; . Your container image has incorrect URL (double / [ / /] )

You can trouble shoot your boxes by applying a border: dashed blue 1px; and padding: -1px; (or decrease width by 2px) to verify their size and any overflow they might be containing.

Position to the parent container also is a good step.

OK in your container and body tags, I would try putting

position: absolute;

if that doesn't work try:

position: relative;

This is a ready-made template I downloaded, so I'm not really sure what to do

Damn. I thought I had all // ;( And yes, it has two small sidebars on the left and one bigger as main.
