I have configured a CRON job, however it does not seem to run. I set it for local (EST) time to run, but it does not seem to have run. I then got the system date and reset the CRON job to start according to that clock (seemingly set to GMT) and it still did not run. I named the file that is to be run backup.cron. Should it be a specific extension or is CRON not working for some reason?

Can you add your server name to your signature... and domain name, so that we can check out problems immediately in the future (in the case that it is a server issue, and not directly your configurations).

Yes, please add your sites and server to your signature. I already answered your ticket about this too.
